A Big Time Congratulations to a Part Time Indian

A hearty congratulations go out this morning to our friend Sherman Alexie who, last night, walked away with a National Book Award. With his young adult novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, winning the Young People's Literature category, Sherman, along with Fiction winner Denis Johnson (Tree of Smoke), Nonfiction awardee Tim Weiner (Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA), and Poetry medalist Robert Hass (Time and Materials), were added to the distinguished list of authors who have received NBA's since 1950.
